Quando a sua filha – minha tia – morreu, minha av\u00f3 parou de pintar para sempre. Ela sobreviveu a morte do seu filho mais novo – meu tio. Hoje, meu pai \u00e9 o \u00fanico dos seus filhos ainda vivo.<\/p>\n
Eu gosto de pensar que meu interesse em estudar teatro veio da minha av\u00f3. Ela estava presente em todas as minhas apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es e eu sinto muito sua falta.<\/p>\n

My grandmother was a painter. She wanted to study painting, but never had the chance to go to a university or conservatory, as, at 19, she became pregnant with my father, and my grandfather decided she should not leave the home to pursue her passion. She continued painting. Everyone in my family had one of her paintings. She gave birth to two other children and continued painting. She survived the death of her husband and kept painting. When her daughter – my aunt – died, my grandmother stopped painting for good. She survived the death of her youngest son – my uncle. Today, my father is the only one of her children still here.<\/p>\n
I like to think my interest in studying theatre came from my grandmother. She was present at all of my performances and I miss her terribly.<\/p>\n
